The first day of April ushers in spring hours at the Weather Discovery Center. Beginning with the first week of the month, we will be open on Tuesdays once again. That means you can now visit us five days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. We will still be closed (except for prearranged field trips or group visits) on Wednesdays and Sundays.
April also marks the start of school field trip season. To avoid visiting us on a day when, for instance, 100 first graders are here, please check our calendar to see which days we have field trips scheduled. Most schools are here in the morning and are gone by 1 p.m., so afternoons are a good time to plan your trip.
Looking ahead, during the summer months of June, July and August, the Weather Discovery Center is open six days a week from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sundays are the only day we’re closed.
