For Girl Scouts, we currently offer Journey programs for Daisies, Brownies, Juniors and Cadettes. We also offer:
- Pre-scheduled tours. The cost for general admission is $7 per scout. If a program/activity is scheduled, the cost is a minimum of $8 per scout depending on the program/activity.
- Troop meetings plus tour. Troop meetings can be held in our classroom, which holds approximately 32 people.
Afterwards, the scouts can tour the exhibits. Cost is $7 per person.

- Special Events
. Eachspring, we hold Punxsutawney Phil’s Weather Extravaganza, a 4-hour event for Girl Scouts. Also, if posted by Girl Scouts of Western PA, we offer Girl Scout Get Outdoors Winter Challenge Day and Get Outdoors Summer Challenge Day. See information below about both of these events.
Girl Scout Journey Programs & Special Events
Girl Scout Brownies Wonders of Water Journey Day
This program has been cancelled due to low enrollment.
Saturday, Nov. 13, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Cost: $25 per Scout
Brownies will earn all awards in the Wonders of Water Journey by attending this program. Instruction is through activities, experiments, techology and traditional book and paper. Girl Scout Brownie & Junior Space Science Day
Sunday, Dec. 5, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Cost: $25 per Scout
Brownies and Juniors will earn all awards in the Space Science Adventurer and Investigator Badge by attending this program. Instruction is through activities, experiments, techology and traditional book and paper. A snack and free time on the exhibits are included with this program. Cost is $25 per person. Girl Scout Get Outdoors Challenge Day – Winter 2022
Saturday, Jan. 8, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Cost: $15 per Scout
Girl Scouts of all ages can participate in this Challenge day and check 12 activities off their list! Here’s what you’ll do:
- Draw a winter wonderland picture
- Make a winter-themed SWAP
- Learn about winter traditions & celebrations around the world
- Learn about frostbite & hypothermia
- Learn how a snowflake forms
- Identify winter constellations
- Walk in a park
- Walk through a neighborhood
- Build a campfire
- Drink hot chocolate
- Toast marshmallows
- Identify winter greenery
