Girl Scouts Get Outdoors Winter Challenge Day

Snow Day Saturday

It’s a day full of SNOW much fun! Including:

  • Snow relay races
  • Snowball games
  • Make your own snow!
  • Snow crafts
  • Build your own snowman interactive game
  • Snowball snack and hot chocolate
  • Our annual famous snowball fight

Cost is $7 per person and includes free time on the exhibits. Pre-registration is appreciated but walk-ins will be welcome!

Groundhog Day Festivities

Make your visit to Punxsutawney for Groundhog Day complete with a stop at the Weather Discovery Center! Explore our interactive exhibits, challenge yourself with our scavenger hunt, and make a groundhog mask or a groundhog finger puppet!

Meteorologist Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Our annual induction into our Hall of Fame of a meteorologist or scientist who has made significant contributions to the science and broadcasting of weather. See the ceremony, meet the inductee and see Punxsutawney Phil! Groundhog cookies and punch after the ceremony.

Glow in the Dark Day

It’s all about the glow during this fun-filled program! We’ll explore glowing ghost eggs, make glow-in-the-dark fingernail polish, make glow in the dark bouncy balls and more! A snack and free time on the exhibits included. Preregistration is helpful, but walk-ins are welcome. Best for grades kindergarten through sixth.
