A pool full of chocolate pudding to stick your hands in … the biggest bubbles you’ve ever made … a geyser made from pop and candy … crazy ways to paint … make your own beach sand … a sloppy way to play the game Twister … throw a huge chalk ball to see what happens! Yes, it’s all part of this year’s Sloppy Science Day on Saturday, June 22 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. (The Weather Discovery Center is open until 4, so if you come at 3, you’ll still have time for fun!) See the flyer here.
Here are some tips for enjoying Sloppy Science Day: parents should plan to help their children, especially those under age 8. Make sure to wear your old clothes and maybe bring a change of clothes – getting messy will happen! Be sure to give yourself time to do all of the activities and to interact with our exhibits. Sloppy Nachos, soft drinks and candy are available for $1.00 each.
The admission cost for Sloppy Science Day is $10 for participating children and $6 for non-participating adults. Your admission band allows you to come and go from the Weather Discovery Center throughout the day.
There’s no need to pre-register, just come by and get sloppy!
