Spring will soon be here and along with it — tornado season. The more you know about the awesome power of a twister, the better off you’ll be. On Saturday, March 30 from 10 a.m. – noon, kids ages kindergarten through sixth can learn about the natural phenomenon of a twister by attending our Terrifying Twisters program.
Why do tornadoes form? What states get tornadoes? What’s the difference between a tornado and straight line winds? How can I be safe when there’s a tornado warning? The answers to these questions and more will be covered through activities, interactive learning, and games. Plus the kids will have time to interact with the exhibits and they’ll have a snack!
The cost for Terrifying Twisters is $8 per child. Pre-registration is appreciated, but walk-ins will be welcomed.
