To kick off the Week of Giving in Punxsutawney (March 18-22), we are hosting Free Admission Saturday!
From 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. that day, there is no admission charge to enter the Weather Discovery Center and enjoy all we have to offer. Please come visit if you’ve never been here before or if it’s been quite some time since you’ve been in. Then consider a contribution to help us continue our mission to educate about the science and folklore of weather!
Learn the basics of severe weather spotting and how to report it to the National Weather Service. This free class is presented by a meteorologist from the National Weather Service office in Pittsburgh. Pre-registration is required to 814-938-1000 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Walk-ins will be accepted that night if there is room.
It’s a day full of learning and fun for Girl Scouts of all ages! The cost per Scout is $23 and includes lunch, a mid-morning snack, the SWAP, a fun patch, and a souvenir. Parents and siblings are welcome to attend as well at $15 per person (does not include the fun patch and souvenir.) Registration is by April 12 at https://www.gswpa.org
