Weather Center Names Contest Winners

Amateur photographers at Punxsutawney Area High School competed to capture the most breath-taking autumn moment, and the winners were saluted Wednesday for their creativity.
The event, sponsored by the Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center, was open to all high school students, and it resulted in some great shots.
Winners are:
FIRST
Senior Sarah Burke, who will further her talent using a RiteAid gift card for film developing. She also has her photograph published in The Spirit.
SECOND
Freshman Jamie Forsyth, who also won a RiteAid gift card for film developing and a disposable camera.
THIRD
Sophomore Lucas Burke, who took home a photo album.
HONORABLE MENTION
Sophomor Milea Schall, who won Weather Discovery Center note cards.
Mary Jean Johnston, project administrator at the Center, created the contest and said the Center will soon sponsor a similar contest beginning in December to capture the beauty of the winter season.
